Location
I stumbled upon this great find on a spur of the moment roadtrip. While passing through a small town in Manitoba, I noticed the bridge in the distance. It took a little bit of driving around to find a spot to capture a photo, but I came upon a campground with a perfect view.Time
This photo was taken mid-morning as I was on a road trip and just happened to see it in the distance. I was so excited to come across this and hope to make it back there to take more photos in a different season and perhaps a different time of day.Lighting
It was a cloudy day which I thought just added to the photo. All natural mid-morning light.Equipment
This was shot using a Nikon 3500 and a kit 18 - 50mm lensInspiration
I love taking photos of old bridges and train trestles. When I stumbled across this one, I just knew I had to stop and take a shot or two.Editing
As I am very much an amateur photographer, I don't do a lot of post-processing or editing. I cropped the photo and I decided that switching it to black and white created a more memorable photo. In my camera bag
Because I am an amateur photographer, my bag is pretty basic. I have my Nikon 3500, the kit 18 - 55mm lens as well as a 55 - 200mm lens. I also carry a selection of filters and a camera remote. I keep my tripod in the back of my vehicle at all times for those just in case moments. I recently added a lens ball to the list to capture a more creative shot when the situation allows.Feedback
My only advice is to others would be that if you come across something that catches your eye, take the time to stop and capture a shot or two. I have a habit of thinking that I'll get a chance to take a photo later, but then something happens and the opportunity has been missed. You think you'll get a chance to go back another time, but the moment is gone.
