Every year on the first Sunday in August, the Angus L. MacDonald Bridge, between Halifax and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is closed to traffic and opened for pedestrians for two hours. A very very popular event, and the only opportunity a photographer gets to get certain pictures while standing right out in the roadway.
