Location
I took this photo in my college campus during Undergraduation. It was surrounded by a bunch of trees dense enough to provide shelter to a variety of little pretty creatures.Time
This is one of my earliest photographs of nature photography. I captured it roaming around on a late October morning, looking a perfect creature to hold back in my camera which I had been using for very few months then.Lighting
Late October days are change of weather time. Clouds driven by air covered the sun and there was diffused light spread in the environment. It perfectly complimented the delicate butterfly and its action of taking nectar from a soft flower. It was just the matter of moments.Equipment
This was shot on Nikon D5300 camera with 70-300mm f/5.3 lens. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I am a nature lover and usually get out on mornings with my camera handy. Mornings give space to the photographer to capture and indulge in the beautiful yet unnoticed life of little creatures. Besides I have much affinity for flowers and birds who have a silent yet very expressive lifestyle.Editing
Usually nature photography requires some post production to enhance color tones and overall image experience. But this image is best in its raw form and applying any post production would have ruined its natural essence. Therefore there's no post processing done on it.In my camera bag
I only carry 18-55mm and 70-300mm lens with the camera body of Nikon D5300. For me, this much has been sufficient enough to capture nature in its original form.Feedback
For those doing nature photography, it is good to use diffused light. Prefer mornings and evenings for a better picture and closeness to natural elements. Always remember, nature is best in its original form, hence restrict post processing wherever possible.
