One of the Pierced wood-turnings I make. Its a 6 inch square shallow platter made of Birds eye Maple Painted with a very small brush in acrylics. The piercing started as a demo during a local competition. This has about 30 hours work including painting. It is turned to 1-8th inches thick. the center ring is the foot ( underneath ). Also the inside walls are all painted bright red, so seen from the side you see nearly only red . But very difficult to photograph side on. Anyway just thought I would show a piece of one of my hobbies as mentioned in my bio.
