Location
The photo was taken during my vacation in Croatia. Me and my family were sailing from the marina in Sukošan and doing a trip around some islands. When we come back I thought that it would be cool if I take a picture of the marina to have a nice memory. I didn't know it was shaped this way. But when I was getting higher and higher I couldn't believe what I was seeing.Time
When we got back from the trip around 4 PM which means in the summer plenty of time before sunset. So we decided to take a walk around the marina. About an hour later I noticed a storm and I have to act quickly so that I have enough light. I started flying and at the end of the flight I decided to do the last picture of the marina from the top down. So it could be around 5:30 and 6 PM.Lighting
When we were walking around I noticed a storm coming and I realized that when the storm comes it would be dark and windy, so not an ideal condition for flying a drone. I quickly set up the drone and start flying. I took some pictures while still having the sun illuminating the area. Then I decided to take a picture of the marina and land. While I was climbing up the storm clouded the sun and it suddenly got dark. I get high enough to take a picture of the whole marina just in time because my battery was getting low and the wind was getting stronger.Equipment

The biggest inspiration to take this shot was probably my girlfriend. While we were walking around the marina she pointed out that it had a weird shape. I thought about it for a while but then let it go. But when I was flying with the drone I noticed that the marina is shaped like a letter "U" so I climbed up to picture it.Editing
I usually edit my photos in Lightroom where I play with the lighting and the colors. This time it was very easy, the lighting was almost ideal and soft thanks to the storm and I tweaked the colors and opened the file in Photoshop to remove part of the marina next to this one and that was it.In my camera bag
Since I crashed my Phantom 4, the first thing I pack to my bag is my new drone, DJI Mavic 2 Pro with a spare battery and controller. If it's a longer trip the charger is a must-have thing. When flying a drone, it is very important to look around. Since you see only what the drone sees, it's sometimes very easy to miss beautiful things or good compositions. Plus you have an extra dimension in which something can get lost. So it's a good idea at the beginning of the flight to fly a little higher and look around if something pops up.
