Photography is strictly prohibited in most of Indian heritage temples including this beautiful marble temple at Dilwara in Mount Abu, Rajasthan. The temple is well known for its exquisite marble sculptures. When our group was looking around in amazement at the carvings and sculptures, I suddenly noticed this young village belle watching us with curiosity and apprehension written large on her innocent face. I simply could not resist the temptation and shot this image literally from the hip fearful that the watchman may notice me clicking pictures when it was prohibited. The girl and I were both scared in equal measures.
