There was a light overcast, which is normal for the area and with the sun directly overhead it created some deep shadows under the brim of the hat and the boat which gave the image greater impact.Equipment

I've switched over from the Olympus I had at the time to a Nikkon. I have a 50mm lens and a 30-250 zoom. I have a flash that, since most of my shots are outdoors, I don't use very much.Feedback
