Location
I made this image in Layton Utah at Hill Air force Base, they host an air show every other year.Time
The Thunderbirds started thier performance around 2pm so I would say around 2:15pm.Lighting
Lighting conditions were tough that time of day I switched to manual exposure and over exposed by a stop to get detail in the planes against the blues sky.Equipment
I used my Canon 7d mark ii and Canon 100-400 usm ii lens.Inspiration
I love photographing planes and attending air showsEditing
In post it was highlights, shadow adjustments with a little sharpeningIn my camera bag
I always have a couple lenses, extra batteries, and a teleconverter.Feedback
Get there early and work out your camera settings shutter speed and exposure are vital when shutting fast moving objects in difficult lighting.
