During a trip to Iceland in late winter, from the end of February through the beginning of March, I went on a glacier walk tour. The group I was with was only one of many groups there that day. It was a beautiful day, sunny and actually warmer than I expected - I actually had to remove my wool hat under my helmet and my woolen sweater which I wore underneath my jacket. I couldn't do anything about the snow pants I wore, but at least removing my hat and sweater made things better.
