This morning I shot the Sun rising over the grassy plains of the Maasai Mara, Kenya on day three of our WorldPix Safari to Kenya. This photo was shot at 560 mm approximately one mile away from our subject - The Balanites Tree Silhouetted against the rising sun. At this distance the classic African tree fills the entire sun as it rises. I underexposed here by 4 stops to leave some detail in the clouds. As always, any photos we sell from this trip will go back to support the Kenya Children's Home in Nairobi, Kenya.
