Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at my in laws' ranch in Prince George, BC Canada. I'm not a professional photographer, just an enthusiast and takes great pleasure in taking photos of everything under the sun.

Time

It was taken around 4pm in a hot summer day while we were out looking for the cows.

Lighting

I had to take too many shots as it was a sunny day. I tried different angles and the sun behind me was the best angle to capture this view.

Equipment

I had my EOS Rebel.

Inspiration

As a city girl, I find everything in the ranch relaxing and calming. That's exactly what I'm feeling while I was capturing this photo.

Editing

Yes but nothing fancy. I used my iPad and played with it until I'm happy with the result.

In my camera bag

I have my camera, extra lens and battery packs.

Feedback

Since I'm not a professional photographer, it was a bit of a challenge for me in trying to figure out which angle should I capture my main subject, which is the thistle. I just took lots of photos until I was finally happy with my shot.
