Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Columbia, Pennsylvania during their annual car show event called "Thunder on the river". Many of the streets are closed off for this show.

Time

This is one of my favorite images that I captured at the show. It was about 10:30 AM and it was already getting very warm out. Walking on the streets made it feel even warmer.

Lighting

This was shot using the natural light available. I tried to get the exposure as close to normal as possible.

Equipment

I used a Nikon Coolpix B500 with no other equipment.

Inspiration

I enjoy going to car shows and try to capture as many of the vehicles that I can when there.

Editing

I did minimal post processing. Mostly on exposure.

In my camera bag

I usually carry a tripod and extra batteries. I now own a smaller point and shoot camera for convenience. I purchased this camera as it has some limited features that a regular dslr camera has. I am still learning the ropes on that one. As I am legally blind it takes more effort on my part to maneuver around the settings.(This photo was not taken with the new camera).

Feedback

I suggest trying different angles and paying attention to the lighting available. Usually these car shows are in very harsh lit areas.
