Location
This photo was taken at Yosemite National Park.Time
As best as I can recall it was in the early afternoon. It was such a long time ago. (July 1971)Lighting
It was a bright, sunny beautiful day. Other than that, this shot was taken as seen.Equipment
I used a point and shoot camera shooting in slide format.Inspiration
It was a beautiful and scenic landscape. I figured it would be the last opportunity that I would see it in person and I wanted to capture it for my memories. I have the original digital photo of this lake on my ViewBug profile page for all to see as well. Please drop by and see all my photos from the trip I made in the summer of 1971. A lot of them are not all that great but I am satisfied. Once I get a chance to straighten and edit some of them I will be more satisfied :--!Editing
Yes. As I said previously, this was originally a slide. I had it converted to digital. Once converted I discovered editing software and started playing with it. Seeing what others were presenting on ViewBug I wanted to see if I could add a pastel look to it. I ended up with a photo resembling a paining of sorts. I really couldn’t say what steps were involved. I am still trying to learn Photoshop elementsIn my camera bag
I now carry my camera, a Nikon B500. It is still a point and shoot camera but much more advanced. I am legally blind and felt it was to cumbersome for me to use a DSLR. Maybe sometime in the future. For now, I am challenged enough in keeping things focused. I really can’t tell my end results until I get my photos uploaded on a computer. I also no use a tripod which helps a lot.Feedback
Experiment and practice. I am not the most patient person but am learning to be because I know it takes a lot of it to create good works. Keep trying and never, ever give up! I have made a lot of movie maker slide shows and created photo books in the past and my photos are far more improved than they used to be.
