A beautiful sunset in Porto Santo Stefano, Monte Argentario in Tuscany on the west coast of Italy, just over 100km north of Rome.
Taken from the old fortress above the town that was a look-out and also provided protection, primarily against pirates. Now with just a lone seagull keeping a careful watch.
In this part of the harbour can be seen some of the fleet of vintage yachts that were there to compete in one of the events of the Panerai Classic Yacht Series. This was the second event of 2018. I was there to race one of the yachts and had the pleasure of staying in the convenient location of the top floor of the pink house that can be seen just to the left of the seagull!
