The day's birdwatching started quite badly with 2.5 hours' waiting in a bar for it to stop snowing. In the end we decided to head out anyway. But it eventually cleared up, and then right at the end, as we were heading to the cars, there was a purple patch where six different species of raptor came by in 15 minutes. This griffon vulture came the closest, flying directly overhead and almost filling the frame at 450mm equiv.
