Many may feel that it is inspired by that Avengers film or whatever (which I did not watch), given to the memes that have arisen lately because of it, but in reality it is more inspired by the legend of vampires (old ones, not those who shine in the sun) and also in One Piece (both anime and manga), in the part of Thriller Bark, where Brooke has his shadow stolen and if caught in the sunlight while without his shadow, he could disappear in that way.
