I love the lighting-it's so dramatic and makes the picture looks magical! Totally upload some more :)

The photo was taken in my home studio. I'm a self taught photographer, and really enjoy shooting simple things on different ways. This one I've photographed to look like a minimalist art.Time
It was photographed on June 19th, 2016 at 16:21 PM, since it was shot inside my home studio, lighting was pretty much under control, and the idea was pretty clear into my mind too, so I just placed the camera on a tripod, composed the photo, set the lights and shoot it.Lighting
The light setup was pretty simple, just a SB-910 triggered using pop-up flash, through a small softbox with a black foamboard in front of it and placed to just allow some of it's light to pass and hit the glass, creating the rimlight. The softbox was placed behind the glass and also the black foamboard acted like a background on the photo.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D5100, AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED, SB-910, small softbox and a Manfrotto tripod.Inspiration
The photography and lighting is a nice way to show the beauty of almost everything, as I said earlier, I really enjoy shooting simple things and showing it's beauty using photography, lighting and retouch. This was no exception, the idea was to show just a hint of the subject, and make the viewer wonders about the object and photo.Editing
Regarding RAW convertion, I've corrected the lens profile, white balance, contrast and removed chromatic aberration. And the photo itself, was one for the glass and another photo with the same lighting setup for the liquid, because of the refraction. To prevent the other side to show on the photo, I've placed a piece of black foamboard just flagging the other side of the glass. In my camera bag
My cameras D800 and D5100, for the lenses, my AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II, AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED, 50mm f/1.8G, some spare batteries and speedlights (SB-910, SB-900, SB-800 and a YN-560 III), but the lenses can change depending on what I'll be shooting. Usually I work only on my home studio, so it's pretty much it.Feedback
My advice would be to study about lighting, natural lighting and also using off-camera flash, how to modify and control the light on the scene. You can study the geek stuff if you want (it's good to know, just like the inverse square law, exposure triangle, etc), but the more important thing is learning to see the light and how it will/would affect your photo. How to read and use the histogram of your camera, because on this type of photo, you can't rely so much on the screen of your camera. How to use manual settings on the camera, and if you have, learn to use the manual settings on your lighting equipment aw well... And finally, the most important one, practice a lot! Keep learning and shooting!
