Extraordinary work...….and what a cutie!

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a small African village in Matopos, Zimbabwe.

Time

This was taken between 11am and 1pm.

Lighting

This is not always the best time of day for photography as it was taken around 1pm when the sun is at its highest. It can create harsh strong shadows especially in portraiture. However, sometime pushing though boundaries can work.

Equipment

I always shoot with my trust Canon 7D and 70-200mm lens. No other equipment was used.

Inspiration

I used to visit this village often whilst guiding my clients on safari. The children were always very entertaining, I got to know this little boy very well and he is a great character.

Editing

This was desaturated and I think I uped the levels in photoshop to create the high contacts

In my camera bag

I always have my Canon 7D, 70-200mm and 24-70mm lens. I also carry a flash and doubler.
