Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my lounge at home, which I had converted to a make shift studio. I wanted to learn more about working in a studio, so a couple of my friends volunteered to pose for me.

Time

This was an afternoon shot, it was shoot indoors but there was some afternoon light coming in the the window to the side.

Lighting

I didn't own a professional studio ligting kit, so the lights that were used were homemade and there was no studio flash.

Equipment

This was shot on my Canon 7d with my 35mm-108 lens and it was on my manfrotto tripod

Inspiration

I was practising my studio shoots

Editing

The only post-processing was done in photoshop, to convert it to a black and white image

In my camera bag

I dont have a large kit. Just my trusty Canon 7d, 2 zoom lens *(35mm-105mm & 100-250mm). I also carry my canon Speedlite, loads of extra CF card (memory cards) and extra batteries. These last 2 are important as you don't want to run our of memory or battery at that crucial moment.

Feedback

Practise makes perfect and if you have willing friwends like I did get them to model for you.
