This photo was taken on my second trip to Iceland. Going through the magical places of this country you discover jewels like this one where you do not really need to do the photography, just contemplate the wonders of nature.Time
After a day of storms, we reached Gullfoss just after sunset, a magical moment with the sun rising through the clouds.Lighting
Just at that precise moment the rays of light of the sunset illuminated the waterfall and the adjacent green fields offering an image that is hard to forget...Equipment
This was shot with a Fuji XT-1 and XF10-24mm F4 at 10-second exposure (using ND filters).Inspiration
Traveling to Iceland is to have a constant source of inspiration, the varied weather, the landscapes, the atmosphere, everything is extraordinary and a source of inspiration. Having patience and waiting for the most appropriate time does the rest.Editing
This photograph is edited with the techniques I currently use and the Luminar application. This application allows me a more strict control of shadows and lights, reflecting more accurate results with those I look for in this type of photographs giving priority to the elements that I want to highlight in the photographs.In my camera bag
Fuji XT-1 and XT-10. For the type of photography that I do, I always use a wide angle, in this case a 10-24mm, and I complement with a telephoto lens like the 55-200, although I prefer whenever I can use fixed optics such as 12mm f2.0 or 8mm f 2.8. A good selection of ND filters and gradients is always essential in the suitcase. Since the last year I have also taken my Mavic Pro 2 drone everywhere.Feedback
Iceland can offer you everything or nothing. Time is a variable and you must learn to have patience, to program your locations, your travels and your locations. It is preferable to go through fewer places, but be assured that you can go back to do the photo that you could not do the first day.
