Excellent photo. Geese fly in formation with multiple geese. If you find two geese together, they have fallen back from the formation, it is because one goose became sick, basically could not stay with his/hers group. The other goose will stay with the sick or tired goose until it is well enough to fly. Then the two will try to catch up to the original group or they will join another. Humans need to learn the examples geese give us. Wonderful capture and a fine example of the care geese give one another. No one left behind :)
