This picture was taken at Fannie Stebbins Wildlife Refuge in Longmeadow, MA. It is May and it is breeding season for the Great Egrets and this male Great Egret was just standing there looking as if he was waiting for something. He has the plumage so maybe he is waiting for miss right.
