Behind The Lens

Location

On the beach of the Danish island Rømø

Time

In the afternoon

Lighting

It was a windy overcast day, that created nice even lighting

Equipment

Canon EOS 60D with a 70-300 canon lens. Handheld.

Inspiration

I love being near the water and this surfer was doing nice turns and jumps that caught my eye. I tried to capture his fun.

Editing

I just straightened the horizon, no other edits.

In my camera bag

I have two bodies, EOS 6D and EOS 60D, depending on what I shoot I choose the body. The 6D comes normally with my EF24-70mm f4 L lens and the 60D with my EF-S15-85mm f3.5-5.6 lens. Then I have a 50mm f1.4, a 70-300mm and a 10-22mm, all canon lenses. And on occasions I bring the big one, Tamron 150-600mm G2. There are ND- filters, lenshoods and polarizing filters andmacro-ringsin my bag. I always have raincovers and a towel in my bag and a plastic bag to sit on when the ground is wet. I shoot mostly landscape, architecture, close-up nature and sport.

Feedback

Waitfor the right moment, but do use burst mode. Click away to be sure you captured the perfect moment. And be shureto use shutterpriority or manual, otherwise the surfer will be blurred.
