A special visitor to my backyard, a Neon Cuckoo Bee (Thyreus nitidulus). Pretty blue and black bee with purple-brown wings. About the same size as a honeybee but more robust. They're parasitic and lay their larvae in the burrows of Blue Backed Bees (Amegilla cingulata) and the larder cells of honeybees.
