The kids asked me what I wanted for Christmas. My request was a hike on Black Mountain, for all of us, including the dogs. We did it a few days before Christmas, not too hot, not too cold, sun shining. It was sublime! In this photo we are descending Black Mountain with a beautiful view of the next range beyond. Check out the color in the rocks - now you know why it is called Black Mountain!
