Location
This photo was taken at a local Ball Park in Amarillo, Tx. I am a self taught photographer so every shot is a learning experience at the moment.Time
This photo was taken late morning. We arrived at the Ball Park early but had to wait on the Coach to let us in. It was a fun time. It gave me more time to get to know the subject.Lighting
The light was just natural sunshine. It was a clear day.Equipment
This picture was shot on a Nikon D300 with the 50mm f1.8. No flash or tripod was used. I hand held the camera.Inspiration
The photo was a graduation shot. The young man holding the baseball was a star pitcher and we thought it would be a good twist on a Senior Ring shot.Editing
In post processing, I used Lightroom to bump up the clarity a bit and convert to Black and White. I felt it had more emotion that way.In my camera bag
Normally my bag consists of 2 cameras. My Nikon D500 and a Nikon D300s. Lenses I carry are the Nikon DX 70-300mm f4.5-6.3, Nikon DX 16-80mm f2.8-4, and the Nikon FX 50mm f1.8. I also carry a Flashpoint Zoom Li-on X R2 round headed speed light and the Godox AD 200 pro pocket strobe.Feedback
Here in Amarillo, you just have to be patient for the wind to cooperate. Everything changes here so fast. Be patient and have fun.
