This bald eagle (haliaeetus leucocephalus) is very curious about what is happening in his surroundings.

For this type of photo, luck plays a big role besides patience. Animals can not tell you how to behave, so I rarely have an image in my head beforehand and I am only the observer during the shooting and let myself be inspired by what presents itself. This often produces surprisingly nice images, this is a good example of it.

As I photograph a lot of bald eagles with their white heads, I begun to explore some portraits on the snowy owl as well.

The Steller's sea eagle is one of the biggest eagles in the world.

I'm fanscinated by all the details on the majestic bald eagles.
