This photo of our favorite Vanilla Angel was taken in our small home studio for the site of our cattery. In this photo, the cat is only 8 months old, but its eyes have already blossomed to the wonderful green color of the sea wave. It is noticeable even in the photo that the cat loves to pose and he has a great character.Time
To date, this is probably the best shot of cat's eyes in my large collection of photos of our kitties. Usually the “correct” photos of cats should be with full-length models to show the best pedigree data. This time I decided to change the approach a bit and take a free-style photo. It happened late in the evening. And from this shoot my wife and I (she is my main assistant and colleague in photo shoots) enjoyed it a lot.Lighting
For most of my studio animal photos, I use a very simple light. Two soft boxes 60x60 with flashes and backgrounds of two colors black and white.Equipment
The list of equipment that I used for this photo: Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 135mm F2, 2 x softbox 60x60 with Blazzeo Flash, white background.Inspiration
My family (me, my wife and three children) are very fond of cats, so the appearance of a British cattery in our house 8 years ago did not come as a surprise to all of our friends. And in order to promote our hobby you need high-quality photos of pets. This fact was the impetus for a serious hobby for photography.Editing
Post processing is usually as simple as posting. Photoshop: RAW to JPG by camera RAW with minor adjustments to white balance, color saturation and sharpness. In my camera bag
My standard animal kit is very simple. Canon 5D Mark III, 135mm prime lenses F2 and 85mm F1.4 IS USM, Blazzeo home studio and backgrounds.Feedback
First of all, in order to get good photos of animals, you just need to love them. Learn habits, character, spend time with them and of course indulge them. Then they become wonderful obedient models and the shooting process will invariably give you immense satisfaction and joy.
