Hummingbirds are plentiful year round in Nevada, but they seem happiest when the "Bottle Brush" bushes are in bloom in the Spring! This particular bird is believed to be a female Costa's Hummingbird, known for their very short tail with the tiniest bit of white trim on the ends of the tail feathers - altogether just 3 1-2 inches long!
