I captured this wildlife photo of Manatees playing at the Manatee observation deck on Haul over canal in the National Seashore. Manatees are sometimes also called Sea cows or Sirenians. They are a large marine mammal that is normally non aggressive and may weigh up to about 1300 pounds. They are an endangered species and in need of protection. The Canaveral National Seashore National Park is bounded on the north by Apollo Beach and the John F. Kennedy Space Center to the South. The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge is also south of it.
