The Casina Vanvitelliana is a hunting lodge in the middle of the Lake Fusaro. It was designed by Luigi Vanvitelli under the Bourbon King of Naples, Ferdinand IV and it was the private hunting and fishing reserve of the royal family.
It is composed of three intersecting octagons and almost looks like a pagoda and the Casina is connected to the mainland by a wooden bridge. The house was also used as a movie set like "Ferdinando and Caroline" by Lina Wertmuller. Erroneously it is called the house of Pinocchio, referring to the film by Comencini.
In February 2018 there was an extraordinary snowfall in Naples and magically all the park was covered with snow. It was like being in a movie.
I live in front of this wonderful park. Every morning when I look out, I realize I'm lucky.
