Location
The photo was taken at a small village called St Helena Bay on the west coast of South Africa. This village is approximately 160km norht of Cape Town. The couple had a wedding on the beach and after the ceremony we decided until golden hour before I started taking photos of the bridal couple.Time
The photo was taken during December, almost mid summer season in South Africa and the sun sets at about 20h30 during this time of the year. I decided to start taking photos about 90 minutes before sunset.Lighting
No artificial light, reflectors or diffusers were used when i took this photo. The light was soft, but also bright enough to obtain this photo.Equipment
Equipment used: Sony A77II Lens Sony 18-55mm F2.8 Handheld with no artificial lightsInspiration
The idea was to capture the couple walking on a pristine beach with only their footprints showing in the sand. The message is a couple in love starting their journey together, walking towards happiness, holding hands and having each other's support, love, trust and companionship. I required a warm tone, giving the feeling of comfort, love & happiness.Editing
Very little. Cropped the photo, reduced some of the grain and slightly increased saturation. In my camera bag
