As soon as we began seeing the Steens Mountains from the highway I was in awe of its vastness. We pulled over to get a shot while the light was highlighting some of the snow in case we weren't able to see them again during our trip.The white at the foot of the mountains is dust from people driving the gravel road ahead in the distance.
