Cool. I was a diver for the SC Dept. of Natural Resources. For training new divers and fun we used to dive the Cooper river near Monks Corner. We'd find some huge fossil teeth. I always wondered how you can equate the tooth to the size of the shark. I talked with someone at the museum... the distance from the gum line to the tip of the tooth in inches equates to how long the shark was in feet. We found, on occasion, 6 to 10 inch teeth.

Well, I have a baby shark's tooth. It is 1 1/2". Congrats on finding the large teeth. :-)
