Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken on a trip to marken and voldendam while in Holland. We had a stop for half an hour to visit a working windmill, the one second from the right.

Time

This was taken at about 11am on a rainy day were there was a break in the showers

Lighting

As a result of the rain showers there was a lovely sky and was lucky having the water calm, I knew on seeing it there was a photograph in it

Equipment

Hand held nikon d750 with 24-85mm zoom lens.

Inspiration

I was lucky in that it looked just as you see it. Was like a painting

Editing

I did a little post processing on the sky to darken it a little otherwise a little crop and nothing more

In my camera bag

When on holiday my nikon d750 and 24-85mm are always with me, have sigma 70-200mm for other further to reach places

Feedback

The key to taking good photographs is to take your time and look around for different angles of view. I used the rule of thirds in the composition as well as leading lines
