Spring on Center Hill Lake

This is one of two deep lakes in the area. This lake is 195 feet deep at the dam. The first time I visited this lake I could not get over the clarity of the water, the visibility was 6 feet or more. I thought I was in a gigantic swimming pool. The water stays cold enough that it has been stocked with Walleye. Late in the summer the surface water temperature does get fairly warm but if you know where the fresh water springs are you can dive into cooler water.
