Location
This Photograph was taken on a beautiful February night in Big Bend, Texas. Probably on of my favorite places to Travel although this trip took 18 hours driving on ice and black ice from Dallas Tx. It was worth every single white knuckled second!Time
This was Photographed at sunset in February. We had spent the whole trip down driving on ice pulled into the park and it was perfect. After being slammed head on with a frosted desert of beauty we decided to photograph as much as we could before we went to the hotel and finally get some rest. After 2 hours of sleep we jumped up to Chase the sunset in the park. Finally landed on a location I deemed worthy of my lens, set up and began capturing Mother Nature in all her glory!Lighting
I’m a Chaser of Light wether it be the Sun or the Stars. I love the drama of it all when you capture it. I love the escape that you get from society when your on your adventures. The Loneliness of creating the image. I think that’s what I go for in my lighting.Equipment
Canon 5Dmkii with the Canon 300 mm lens and my mefoto Globetrotter tripodInspiration
Mother Nature is the pure inspiration for my photography. She is beautiful and bold and evokes emotions that you didn’t know you had.Editing
I had around 24 hours of post processing with this image just to get everything right light wise. I try my best to make it just like If you were standing there with meIn my camera bag
I converted everything to Nikon Body’s and Glass and still have my trusty Mefoto tripod.Feedback
Just go find yourself a place away from everyone else. A place that you don’t see photographed all the time. And practice until one day you get home and pull the photograph you took up on your screen and say WOW!
