This is a vertorama composed of 3 horizontal images shot with a tilt shift lens. Because the lens has almost no distortion at all it was very easy to stitch the shots together manually. For the top part I let the camera run for about an hour to make sure I capture the galactic centre of the Milkyway in the best position and to get a shot without light pollution from cars passing by. While the camera was running I was working in the car which was parked nearby. Suddenly I felt like taking a break and step out of the car to enjoy the nightsky. Exactly in that moment a huge falling star passed by and I was so stoked to witness this amazing spectacle. Later I chose exactly that shot with the falling star which you can see here and I was very happy that I saw it in real AND even managed to capture it with my camera!
