Location
The photo was taken while I was moored for an overnight stay at Sea Cliff Yacht Club on the North Shore of Long Island. It was at sundown in late August and HempsteadHarbor was aglow in orange/golden,colored light.Time
The photo was taken at twilight 7:30-8:00 PM. at dinner time while my family and I were preparing to settle down for an onboard meal.Lighting
During late Summer the evening light has a golden tint to it and frequently the evening sky has the full spectrum of a rainbow- deep blues, intense yellows, oranges, and reds.Equipment
I used an Olympus OMD- E M10 Digital Camera with a 14-45mm Olympus Zoom lens with a UV filter. It was all in available.Inspiration
I was taken in by the colors of the evening sky and decided to use the sky as a backdrop for a silhouette image of the boat moored adjacent to my boat.Editing
I posted the photo as-is with no post-processing. What you see is what I captured at that moment. In my camera bag
I have a small collection of Olympus lenses: 14-45mm.,17mm.,12-50mm.,40-150mm., and 70-300mm. I also have UV filters for protection on all my lenses and 2 ND filters that I use, intermittently.Feedback
The colors in the sky on the North Shore of Long Island are typical of what one will capture in the images they create that time of the Summer.
