The photo was taken in a old Castle outside Prag just in the heart of Bohemia. Shootparty in Prag handled all the logistics.Time
The picture was taken at 1.08 pm early in may, the castle was not heated so it was on the cold side, but Natalia did a great job despite that :)Lighting
It was a fantastic backdrop with a lot of natural light coming in the big windows, so a reflector and that was it :) Iso value on this picture was 640, but away from windows it could go up to 4000 isoEquipment
Nikon D750 with Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm f/4G ED VR and a Bowens reflector hold by my associate. As backup I had a Nikon sb 900 and Godox AD 360, but they were seldom put to use.Inspiration
The ability to "borrow" a whole castle with a renowned model in front of camera made the ideas pop up, the whole place was inspiring. I had a frame of making some Helmut Newton style picture, but I like my pictures a little more glamouros not so edgy.Editing
I always do the basic adjustment for my pictures in Lightroom an then export to Photoshop for the final touch with focus on picture tone and shadow/light balance. In my camera bag
Nikon D750, Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm f/4G ED VR, Nikon AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED, Nikon SB900, Nikon SB600, Godox AD360. Modifiers for the flash ranging from 180 cm umbrella, 80 cm octagon to softhood for the Nikons.Feedback
If you are shooting out of your own country, try to get a local partner who knows the best places, an experienced model can often help her, otherwise team up with a organiser or stylist as shootparty in my case. If you have a specific idea get the props yourself (best) or ask the local contact don't rely on we find out, when we arrive. And then practice, practice........
