Location
I shot this photo in my studio because it was still cold outside and the fact that it was boudoir, I thought it was best.Time
It was early afternoon and since I chose to light this shot with led lights and 2 wireless flashes, the time of day really doesn’t matter. The mood and feeling of this image I wanted, required me to have complete control over the light.Lighting
I created a large soft box for her to lay down in and I lit the walls with flash from the outside of it so it would spread evenly over her and at the same time, it created a very flattering light for her skin. My main light was a led light behind a shoot through umbrella to create a beautiful catch light in her eyes.Equipment
Camera was a Sony A7riii, lens was an 85mm 1.8 Fe Led light was from Aputure 2 wireless flashes from godox I turned my pool table into a bed with three cloth walls to make my large soft box.Inspiration
My inspiration always comes from the consultation/first meeting that I have with the client or model, and the georgeous look she had led me in this direction.Editing
The only post processing I did was on her spotty spray tan that she had. It was winter time and tried to apply it herself so we shot anyways with the agreement that I would do exactly that in photoshop. In my camera bag
Typically I have my sony a7riii, 24-70 gmaster lens, 85mm 1.8 Fe lens, at least 2 flashes, with wireless triggers, spare memory cards, 1 spare camera battery and spare flash batteries, my Hoya ND filter and a few cleaning tools like a rocket blower and a lens pen. In the back pocket is my iPad air2, primarily as a handy portfolio because I’m always advertising. Lastly, strapped to the side of my bag is usually my manfrotto be free travel tripod.Feedback
The only advice I have is to let your creativity and inspiration guide you, it hasn’t let me down yet. Or at least I’ll never post those ones for anyone to see. Lol. And just have fun!
