This photo was taken in an abandoned hospital in Sudbury, Ontario. I did a photo session there with a group of dancers. I have been a photographer for over 10 years now and every shoot I do is still as exciting as the first.Time
We started at around noon that day.. I of course got there quite early and scouted out the entire hospital to see all the different spots I would be able to use. This photo was taken at mid afternoon. It was such a fun day with all the parents and dancers that came.Lighting
The light coming in through the windows is pretty amazing in the building. I did bring lighting with me but this photo in particular was done using only natural light.Equipment
I use a SonyA7Riii and a 24 to 70 Gmaster lens.Inspiration
I love how talented dancer are.. their abilities fascinate me. I love to capture their movements.Editing
Very minimal post-processing in Lightroom. In my camera bag
I always have my Protactic BP450 AW packed with my 2 Sonya7Riii's, 3 Gmastr lenses ( 16-35, 24-70, 70-200 ), am 85mm 1.8 lens, ND filters, cleaning supplies, extra batteries and memory cards.Feedback
Practice makes perfect... like the saying goes.. Shoot every time you get a chance! No matter how long I've been doing this I learn something new all the time. Have fun while you are shooting and it will never feel like just another job.
