Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken last year at the cliffs of Punta Christo in Pula, Croatia.

Time

In the summer period, around 2 PM.

Lighting

I took the shot with auto settings on.

Equipment

Panasonic DMC-TZ70, from the hand.

Inspiration

That specific spot at the cliffs is a very popular place to take that type of pictures, because when the sea is rough the waves bump onto the rocks that hard you get these magnificent fountains of water. I took like 40 shots and just this one was perfect for me. My daughter is right in the middle, surrounded by water without touching her at that moment.

Editing

If adjusted the light, contrast and colour a bit. I wanted to put the accent more on the human in the middle rather then my daughter, and to highlight the water.

In my camera bag

On holidays or special occassions, my Samsung S5 Neo, the Panasonic and a Nikon D90 with a 18-135 and a 70-300 lens. Very old scool, but still going strong.

Feedback

The more pics the better. As I wrote before, I took llike 40 shots in a couple of minutes. In this particular situation I looked at the waves and from the shape of the waves coming you can predict if the water gets high enough to get a good shot. And I must say, this was a kind of lucky shot, because you cann't predict the shape of the fountain in ths case.
