Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture in Allier, France.

Time

It was dark. We were in winter. It was 10h pm and I was walking with my dog.

Lighting

The village church is illuminated by a projector in the evening. The light diffused through the fog.

Equipment

I used a Canon 600D with a tripod. My lense was a tamron 18/200

Inspiration

I loved the reflection of the light in the fog. The result was a special atmosphere, mystery, worrisome.

Editing

I just played with the levels and the contrast with photoshop. Then I added a little blue.

In my camera bag

I have a 600d cannon and two lenses. A tamron 18/200 and a 50mn. A cobra flash and several filters. I never go out without my tripod at night.

Feedback

Wait for the favorable weather and be patient. There is no fog every day. You have to find a place that inspires you, that creates the magic of the moment. Then I will advise a tripod and pose a bit long, I had 13 seconds.
