Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at an event conducted at our university.

Time

I was very eager to cover the event . So I had to prepare myself a day before the event. The event was about to start at 2:00 afternoon.

Lighting

As I was only allowed to shoot from a side of the stage. So the focus lights got overlapped making it difficult for me to get a perfect shot. I had to wait patiently for a perfect shot and thanks to the artist to perform with a beautiful smile.

Equipment

This was shot with an 50mm prime lens using Nikon D500. It was a hand held shot.

Inspiration

My main target was to capture the facial and emotional expression of the artist and how rejoicingly they were performing.

Editing

I had to just adjust the exposure as well as align the photo other than this. NO other post processing/Manipulation is done.

In my camera bag

I on my own don't own a equipment . I get equipment by our university to shoot and return it to them after the event. But If I am asked to give the list. Then I would prefer an 50mm(prime lens), a 70-300mm(telephoto), and a fisheye lens equipped with an Nikon D5 or a Nikon D750

Feedback

I wont bias on the brands because every brand has its own high end and lower version.. So brands vary only with their user interface. But having a good idea of the subject and the lens to use will give you similar pictures . We can use Nikon D500 with a 50mm/ 70-200mm lens to capture these kind of photos
