This gray heron fishes on the river Svisloch (somewhere 5 km from Minsk, Belarus). The city's sewage treatment facilities are nearby, so the warm water attracts fish and gives birds an opportunity to feed themselves. The difference in temperature of water and air sometimes leads to a haze and the local landscapes begin to look especially mysterious.
The bank of the river is on the small cliff. I noticed the heron and slowly began to move towards it. They are quite shy and at any time it could fly away. The problem was that in such conditions, the lens is poorly focused, but I managed to make a couple of photos before my hand stopped obeying myself because of the cold.
