Behind The Lens

Location

I took the photo on family land where I leave. Just like riding out on the farm and watching storms come in.

Time

Around 9pm. It’s much easier to get lightening at night.

Lighting

For shots like it’s I just set my camera up for long exposure and try to have all my setting right. ISO around 100 to 300 and the f stop around 7 to 11. Just depends on how close the storm is and how much it’s lightning

Equipment

Nikon d3500 with a 18-50 mm

Inspiration

I’ve always loved watching lightening. So I started one night trying to get some pictures of it

Editing

Yes I do. I use Lightroom and just bring out the lightening and try to hide any noise in the picture

In my camera bag

D3500 and d7000 Nikon. Lens are 18-50mm 18-35mm 50-150mm and a wide angle

Feedback

Just have to take a lot of dark and black pictures to get a few good ones. Just keep trying and changing your setting until you find out what works for you.
