Location
This photo was taken at Angkor Wat Temples, in Siem Reap, Cambodia on one of my first trips abroadTime
It was 7:30 when I took it, on the sunrise of a February morning after waiting 2 and a half hoursLighting
I wanted to show the magical feeling of the sun rising each morning, so I over exposed the image to help that strenght of the sujnEquipment
I used a Nikon D5100 with a 18-55 lens.Inspiration
The Angkor and its sunrises have always impressed me; I knew I wanted to shoot my own postcard from Cambodia waiting for it as long as it was needed. If I had gone earlier into the temple and not been patient, I wouldn’t have got this beautiful resultEditing
I used some photoshop layers to increase contrast, darken the silhouette of the building and warm filters to help the rising sunIn my camera bag
I always carry my 70-250 and 50 mm 1.8f lenses with my Manfrotto tripod, a Nissin flash and a ND filterFeedback
Don’t rush, learn to be patient and enjoy the time you wait. Best shots don’t appear in a second. The more you practice and learn to read rhe moments, you will have more opportunities to seize the right moment
