Location
Palmachim Beach, center of IsraelTime
Since the cost line in Israel is on the west side, sunset is of course the best time to take photos hereLighting
Taking sunsets photos Into the sun with some diffusion by the clouds always creates some interestEquipment
Nikon d750, Nikon 14-24 2.8, Lee ND Grad 0.9 filter and a Manfrotto tripodInspiration
Palmachim Beach is one of the favorites among photographers in Israel. Beside its beauty, it is only 20 minutes drive from my home town. That makes it an ideal location when you are not in the mood for a long ride, don’t have enough time till sunset or just do not have any other place on mind. During spring time the water level is low and reveales the rockery. The weather is already warm enough to get your feet wet and get close to the rock edge, take some photos and be back home on time for dinner.Editing
Most simple post with some shadows and highlights correction, contrast, saturation and sharpening. Jast a little saturation, trying to not over doIn my camera bag
For a short journeys I try to be as light as possible. Beside my camera and lens I have some filters, a shutter relece cable and basically that's it. Lens cleaning kit is especialy important in the sea, a spare battery and a head light, just to be on the safe side.Feedback
It's always easier when you really know the location. Then, all you need is to wait for the right conditions (which changes every time you are out there)
