If you love seeing and photographing butterflies and have a yard, then consider planting things that will attract butterflies (usually hummingbirds love the same kinds of plants). I have Joe Pye Weed - it grows very tall - like 6 ft. I have Butterfly Bushes in white, purple, peach and lavender. Also plant Zinnias every year. B-flys just can't get enough of these flowers. They also like the flowers that are from Hosta plants. Bee Balm (aka Monarda) is a huge favorite as well - but it does attract all sorts bees.
